What is IVF Method?
IVF Procedures are; Assisted Hatching, Blastomere Biopsy, Defragmentation, Epididymal/Testicular Sperm Aspiration/Extraction. According to your Doctor’s fertility plan, you may start medication or some special treatment/injections before the first day of the cycle. You will take medication for 8 to 14 days to encourage the follicles in where the eggs live and produce more eggs.
Before the Treatment
IVF follows several steps; Step 1: The day of your period, Step 2: Stimulating your ovaries, in a natural monthly cycle, your ovaries usually produce 1 egg. You will take medication for 8 to 14 days to encourage the follicles in your ovaries to produce more eggs. Step 3: Egg Retrieval. That’s the step is a hospital day procedure where the eggs are collected from your ovaries. Step 4: The male will produce a fresh sample in the morning of egg retrieval. The best sperms are selected, and they are ready in the lab to be introduced to the eggs. Step 5: Fertilisation. The eggs and sperm are placed in lab. conditions, they have the chance to find each other and fertilise like they would naturally within body. Step 6: Embryo development process. If the sperm fertilises the egg, lab atmosphere create perfect conditions using a mix of amino acids. Step 7: Embryo Transfer Process. The embryo transfer is a very basic process, like a pap smear. There is no anaesthesia, so you can get up straight away. Embryo Transfer is practised at your surgeon’s clinic, usually takes place 2 to 5 days after egg retrieval and it’s a painless procedure, might experience mild cramping. Approximately two weeks after the embryo transfer, you will have a blood test to measure your levels of HCG hormone. You have to get some test results such as ovarian reserve test, semen analyses, infectious disease screwing, practice embryo transfer, uterine exam and blood test.
During Treatment
After the embryo transfer, you can go on routine daily activities. About 2 weeks after egg retrieval, your surgeon will test your blood to detect if you’re pregnant. After the treatment get plenty of sleep and rest. Avoid extreme sports, medication and temperature.
